My Snorkel Adventure

On Wednesday we went to the beach for a swim and going on the boat as well to Jump off to.
so When we had our little swim we went on the boat. We got on the and there was also a glass at
the bottom of the boat so you could see the fish. We were so excited to get in the water i did'int want
to go in because i was cold so i sat down in the sun and got warm soon i got warm and went in there were so many fish there was a sword fish i think it was i was'int to sure if it was i was a bit come what was?
there was all types of fish there black and yellow ones the were so much i saw a fish about the size of a large rock and it looked like a rock it looked a bit scary i felt like getting out of the water but i stayed in because i just stayed away from and  it had eyes it had large mouth and it opened its mouth wide and then i swam away from it then i got out of the water and went  back on to the boat on the way back i sat at front of the with others i looked quite scary. When we were there wen to a restaraunt and then we ate and ate and then went back to the hotel.

Zoo

When we went to the zoo I was so excited. I could not talk or they would make us pay more for some reason. we went to see the lions first, on the way there i saw monkeys swing on branches one of them was hanging upside down he looked a bit funny. When we got to the lions i was a bit scared if they would run towards us from there cage. we first saw the baby cubs they looked cute. we saw lions,tigers,cheaters. then we saw a huge lion all by it,s self. the teeth looked sharp and the tail was long the lion looked like a rare lion and i was right i asked my mum cause She had been there for 10 years so She would have know by then. When we went to the birds i saw this big as one it was called a hornbill,  next we went this cage where you could go inside there where parrots that would do nothing it would not fly but the other birds did. after looking at the birds we went to the turtles when when we saw the turtles they were big as well when matthew was 4 or 3 he sat on one of the turtles. we went to the petting farm
farm were you could rabbits hamerster and deer i think it was and then afrter that we went back home.

To the beach

   When we where there i got so excited. I put on my snorkels and i ran into the water. It was so warm, i saw a whole group of fish swimming together. we waited for the waves to come and crash on us.
soon there came a big wave we started to swim where it would hit us, it was a big splash!!. it came right on us. We saw some fisher men catching a lot of fish one of the person gave me a fish for free it was a bit slimy. I named it captain fish. then i went back into the water we did lots of Flips in the water. When we were dried we went back home.

The Regatta

On Wednesday, we went to watch the waka races. Every year, lots of schools in Ngaruawahia send teams of students to the Waikato River by the Turangawaewae Marae, to compete in waka races.

The water sparkled like diamonds. We stood at the top of a steep bank and looked down over a carpet of purple-flowered green plants.

A speeding boat left a wake of water behind it as it sped to the red buoys - the starting point of the races. The water rippled out towards the tree-lined banks and softly touched the shores.
